Getting Started

Welcome to AbhiPOSS! This guide will help you set up your POS system, add users, and configure your first outlet. For a quick start, see the Request Demo page.

Business Type Documentation

AbhiPOSS uses a shared POS foundation for billing, inventory, tax, printing, reports, users, and transactions. Business-specific workflows are enabled by rollout. Restaurant documentation is available now; other business formats are listed as coming soon so customers can see the planned direction without confusing the current demo.

Pilot-Ready Controls

These controls are the practical checks a restaurant or retail outlet should verify during a pilot before using AbhiPOSS for live billing.

Shift and EOD control

Cashier shifts, billing windows, business-day readiness, and close-day checks help the outlet reconcile sales before day close.

Health Center

Admins and supervisors can review database integrity, storage, license state, active orders, printer routing, backups, and diagnostics from one place.

Recovery Center

Backup creation, diagnostics export, JSON data export/restore, invoice reprint, printer reconnect, and device-move support belong in the admin recovery flow.

Hard guardrails

Finalized invoices are locked, duplicate invoice numbers are checked, destructive production cleanup is blocked, and sensitive actions are role-governed.

Flexible restaurant screens

KOT, KOT printing, kitchen display, customer display, tables, reservations, and manual kitchen updates can be enabled based on the outlet workflow.

Android and remote access

Android can be positioned as standalone offline POS or as a remote terminal connected to the store server, depending on the rollout model.

Operations & Recovery

Admin users should use Operations and Health Center together. Operations controls the business day, cashier shifts, billing window, and EOD readiness. Health Center checks whether the app, database, printers, backups, license, and active orders need attention.

Start a cashier shift before live billing and close it after drawer reconciliation.
Use Close Day only after active orders, open shifts, and blocking checks are clear.
Use Health Center before pilot go-live to verify database integrity, license status, printers, backups, and diagnostics.
Use Recovery Center for backup, diagnostics export, JSON export/restore, invoice reprint, printer reconnect, and controlled device movement.

Admin Password Recovery

Operator and supervisor passwords should normally be reset by an Admin from Users. If the only Admin is locked out in an offline installation, AbhiPOSS uses a controlled support recovery flow instead of asking the customer to reinstall the license.

Customer verifies the license and store identity with Abhikalan support.
Abhikalan generates a signed, one-time admin recovery code from license-admin.
The locked-out user opens Recover Admin Access from the login page and enters the code.
AbhiPOSS verifies signature, license binding, expiry, and replay protection before allowing one Admin password reset.
The reset is recorded for audit review.

Offline & Connected Rollouts

AbhiPOSS is built to continue billing and operations during internet disruptions.
Desktop, Android, and browser-based access can be combined based on each outlet's rollout model.
Standalone offline devices do not need a server URL for daily billing.
Remote terminals can connect to an approved store server, intranet, VPN, or reachable local network.
Use export, restore, or connected access workflows based on the selected deployment model.
